Essential Practices
Conspiracies, royal scandals, dictatorships in which our history is profound. KJV Bible history is no different when stopping to view history of the kings of ancient Israel in the Old Testament.
Era of monarchy began at the time of the prophet Samuel where nation of Israel split into Israel and Judah related to the two lines of kings that continued at the same time until each nation’s conquered in circa 722 BCE, and the Kingdom of Judah by the Neo-Babylonian Empire circa 586.
There are those kings that get chapters’ worth of stories while in analogously, others only get brief mentioning’s.
Every time, our KJV Bible tells us whether the king was helpful 1 King 15:11 And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, as did David his father or hurtful to their people 1 Kings 21:25 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.
History shows at the end of King Solomon's rule, there was thirty-nine good and evil Kings that reigned over Judah and Israel and that there were only eight good Kings and they all reigned in Judah and pointing that nineteen Kings of Israel were evil. Of all the kings, King Ahab was by far the evilest king. 1 Kings 16:29, see also 21:25.
Our study shows that Saul, son of Kish, of the tribe of Benjamin Israelite was the first king of Israel (1 Samuel 9.) Following Saul’s death, Ishbosheth, the fourth son of King Saul was the second king who only ruled for two years (S Samuel 2:8 & 9) followed by King David who was the third Israelite king 2 Samuel 5:3 see also Acts 13:21 & 22
