How do I make sure that I am saved and going to heaven?
If you say with your mind and your heart, “Yes, I believe in Christ and receive what He has done for me,” that He died for my sins, then you have eternal life. Faith, then, means surrender and commitment to the claims of Christ. It means acknowledging sin and turning to Christ.
In Christian belief, assurance of salvation and going to heaven comes from trusting in Jesus Christ's sacrifice for our sins, confessing him as Lord, and believing in his resurrection. Romans 10:9-10.
Through Christ's sacrificial death on the cross for our sins, Jesus has satisfied God's righteous wrath against us (1 John 1:7; 1 John 2:2; 4:10). "By confessing" that we believe that "Jesus" is the "Son of God" who came in the flesh "to save us" from our sins, we can be confident that we have eternal life (1 John 4:2, 13-15; 1 John 5:13).
What is faith-based on Christianity?
For Christians, having faith means having trust in God. It means following his Word and yielding our lives to him, fully trusting in him to lead us.
My faith, "Our faith" is grounded in the Bible, the authoritative witness to the living Word of God. Through the Holy Spirit, we seek to be guided in all things by the New and Old Testaments and a faith that centers on beliefs regarding the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
This is the Trinity of God, that means that there is one God who eternally exists as three distinct Persons, the "Father," the "Son," and the "Holy Spirit."
